Classifications Interoperability Initiative
Remarks
The initiative was prompted by:
- the attention given to mutual accountability/aid dashboards in the US Strategy for meeting the MDG's at http://www.usaid.gov/our_work/mdg/.
- the 1st recommendation of ODI Report 3171 and
- the May 12, 2010 reply to the Message from the Chairman of the Global Alliance for ICT and Development.
A Classification Interoperability solution will be instrumental in enhancing aid effectiveness and improving transparency, as indicated at a Global Alliance for ICT and Development discussion.
